I found a whole bunch of videos from a recent Babyshambles gig at Krone Circus in Germany. The crowd seems pretty sedate, but the video quality is great(for a Babyshambles gig)

The best song I have heard in a long time…

I was checking out Joe Purdy’s updated website at www.joepurdy.com and I was watched a video recorded live at SXSW which I is a private company based in Austin Texas.
The video was recorded in a specially built venue which allows live performances to be recorded by five HD cameras.
Joe Purdy, being an independent musician, who releases his own music independently is still pretty obscure, most of his music is only available online – he has toured many times around USA and in Europe – in fact one of his albums was concieved when he was stranded in Finland(?) with no money – he was ‘rescued’ when ABC aproached him to write a song that would feature in the tv show ‘Lost’.
So far he has released 9 albums – and what is really appealing about his music, is his brutal honest and totaly heartfelt aproach to his lyrics. He never writes down the lyrics to his music – he had said before “I was there, I know what happened,” “If it’s true then you don’t have to remember what lie you were telling”.
